Conference 2021
Nutritics, along with partners at the UK Food Labelling Resource, will be hosting a conference in 2021 to help companies prepare for the Food Information Amendment 2019 (also known as Natasha’s Law). This conference had originally been scheduled to take place in 2020 but unfortunately could not go ahead due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.
New dates have yet to be announced. However, we can confirm that the conference will be going ahead, whether online or in-person, before summer 2021.
The UK Food Labelling Resource is a non-profit information group formed by Nutritics, a provider of allergen management and nutrition labelling solutions. This group represents stakeholders from across food industry, research, labelling and government and was established to support the effective roll-out of new food labelling legislation in the UK.
Natasha’s Law is set to come into effect in October 2021, having been officially introduced by Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs, Michael Gove, in June 2019.
“I encourage businesses large and small to work with the Food Standards Agency to get this right. Success will mean more choice and better protection for the millions of people – our families, friends, colleagues and neighbours across the UK – who have food allergies.”
Heather Hancock, Food Standards Agency Chair .
